Andy and I are in the town of Pisa, Italy today. Pisa is famous for The Leaning Tower of Pisa. The tower is famous because it does not stand straight up. When the tower was being built, the ground was soft and the tower started sinking into the ground. Instead of stopping construction, the architect kept building, even though he knew the tower would end up crooked. The bell tower is located in the Field of Miracles. The Duomo, or baptistry, and the cathedral are also located there. Here is a picture of all three buildings in the Field of Miracles. One of the things that visitors to the tower like to do is have their picture taken while pretending to hold up the tower. Andy and I decided that would be a good idea, so here are some pictures of us holding up the tower. After taking a few pictures in the sun, Andy and I found some shade to cool off in. Before walking back to the bus that brought us to Pisa, Andy needed some protection from the sun so he decided to wear my hat and glasses. Tomorrow, Andy and I will be visiting Rome, Italy. There are many things to see in Rome so I will have several pictures to share. See you tomorrow! From, Ms. Adams and Andy

Andy and I just returned from our day exploring Monte Carlo, Monaco. We learned that the Principality of Monaco is the second smallest country in the world. Do you know what the smallest country in the world is? If so, leave me a comment with your answer. Andy and I decided to walk up to the prince's palace up on the hill. When we started our walk, we saw this sign. Since the people of Monaco speak French, we couldn't read the sign, so we kept going. When we reached the palace, we noticed that it was built on a cliff! Can you see the water to the left of Andy? It was pretty windy there, so Andy's ears were blowing all over the place! After visiting the palace, we had a great view of the city, so we took a picture. When we came back down the hill, we got on a bus to a village called Eze. The village was at the very top of a mountain, so we took a picture of the city from the top. Can you see our ship in the distance? When we arrived to the village of Eze, we hiked to the top of a mountain to see the gardens. Here is a picture of Andy and the top of the mountain were were climbing. It took us almost an hour, but we made it to the top of the mountain! Here is the view we saw from the top. Tomorrow, we will be visiting the Leaning Tower of Pisa in Pisa, Italy. See you then! From, Ms. Adams and Andy
Today, Andy and I are in Monte Carlo, Monaco. The principality of Monaco (like a country) is less than one square mile, which is about the size of a very small town. When we got off if the ship, we were very close to our ship (normally we have to move away from the ship and can only see it from far away. Here is a picture of Andy with our ship. We'll post more later on. We're off to explore Monaco! From, Ms. Adams and Andy
Hi all! Today, Andy and I are in Barcelona, Spain. We traveled to the top of Olympic Mountain where we were able to see the entire city of Barcelona. Here is a picture of Andy with the city. Near Andy's head is near a very famous cathedral called La Sagrada Familia. If you look just above Andy's left ear, you will see it. This cathedral is famous because it has been under construction for 130 years and it will not be completed for several more years. There is a lot of detail on the building that makes it very unique and beautiful. Here is another view of La Sagrada Familia that is a little closer up. We also traveled to the Gothic District in the city. It is the oldest part of the city and the streets are very narrow. After wandering through the city, we took a bus back to our ship. Next stop...Monte Carlo, Monaco! From, Ms. Adams and Andy
Hi friends! Today, Andy and I are on our cruise ship called the Crown Princess. We are currently sailing on the Atlantic Ocean, off the coast of France. The waves are very strong, so the ship is weaving quite a bit. We went to see a show where there were dancers and singers. When we went to dinner, Andy only wanted dessert, so here he is with his key lime pie. We have 2 more days before arriving in Barcelona, Spain. We'll talk to you soon! From, Ms. Adams and Andy
Hi friends! We have finally arrived in London, England. We rode on the airplane for about 9 1/2 hours and then took the London Underground (the subway) to our hotel. Andy was so tired from all the traveling that he jumped right onto the bed when we arrived. Next, he wanted to see the view from our hotel room. Do you see all of those red buses? They are called double decker buses and are quite famous in London. Did you know that there are different time zones all around the world? Right now, it is daytime in London and still nighttime in Oregon. That means that if it is 8:00 in the morning in Oregon, it is 4:00 in the afternoon in London. Since Andy and I traveled across time zones today, we have been awake for 24 hours straight! Can you guess why time zones are important? Andy and I are off to go take a nap and then our adventures will continue! See you soon! From, Ms. Adams and Andy
Andy and I made it to Canada. He had a great time looking out the window after we took off. I think Andy might like to be a navigator when he grows up. He seems to really enjoy reading maps. We're off to our second flight to London. Talk to you soon! From, Ms. Adams and Andy
Today is the day! Andy and I are beginning our European Adventure! Our adventure began when we checked in for our flight and our seats were upgraded to the exit row! Andy must be my good luck charm. :-) Here is a picture of me and Andy at the airport. We will be flying from Seattle, Washington to Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. Then, we will get on another airplane and flying from Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada to London, England. Andy gets to ride in my backpack so that he stays safe. Here's a picture of Andy curled up in his backpack. Andy and I will update this blog as often as we can, so check back daily. If you have any questions or just want to say hi, ask your parents and leave me a comment on this (or any) post. From, Ms. Adams and Andy
Hi Friends! Andy and I are currently in East Wenatchee, Washington. We are visiting my mom and dad, as well as my brother, sister in law, nieces, and nephew. Today, Andy and I got to take my nephew, Benjamin, to the doctor to get his cast removed (he broke his arm at field day on the last day of school). Andy and I leave on an airplane for Europe in less than one week! We have been making sure we have everything packed that we will need. Can you think of anything we are forgetting to pack? I hope you're having a great summer break. Talk to you soon. From, Ms. Adams and Andy
Hi Friends! Today, Andy and I are packing our suitcase for our big adventure. Two friends are making it difficult for me to get anything packed. Do you see them?
